SPML Infra Limited has secured a ₹258 crore order from Chennai Metro Water for huge-scale development of water infrastructure in Tamil Nadu.

The order includes sewerage system construction and strengthening of water supply in key districts with an objective to improve sanitation for over 5 lakh citizens.

The package includes over 125 water and sanitation sub-projects in Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Dharmapuri, and Namakkal districts.

Two major sewerage schemes amounting to ₹278 crore will also be established at Injambakkam and Uthandi, serving 43,000 residents.

The scheme would include laying underground sewerage and upgradation of water supply mechanisms such as in Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Dharmapuri, and Namakkal. The groundwork has also been prepared for two massive underground sewerage projects in Injambakkam and Uthandi worth a total of ₹278 crore. The two projects will directly benefit nearly 43,000 residents by ending age-old problems with waste disposal and urban sanitation.
